I am looking for an Architect Designer to do this Client side rail company, to work within their Infrastructure Investment Building & Civils, Building Design Group.
You will be based in London with a national remit to provide a full design service for GRIP Stages 2-8 (RIBA Stages A to L) to the companies extensive property portfolio.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary design team responsible for the development of initial design proposals through to preparation of detailed design drawings.
Job Purpose
To provide cost effective architectural and design consultancy service and solutions to internal and external clients and to develop and maintain design standards that meet company needs. To provide cost effective management of appointed architecture and design consultants to meet objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare and develop concept, feasibility and design proposals to meet business objectives.
Provide cost effective, fit for purpose and value for money architecture and design service to internal and external clients and efficiency targets.
Liaise and consult with external authorities in order to secure smooth and successful consents and approvals.
Brief and manage external architectural and design resources serving the business.
Degree in architecture or relevant technical discipline (building surveying or engineering)
Chartered Membership of a professional body (RIBA, RICS, C.Eng) with at least 5 years experience
Excellent design and presentational skills, including use of CAD, DTP, Powerpoint and freehand drafting
Conversant with Planning and Consents processes
Construction Design Management (CDM) Awareness
Broad knowledge of the railways and railway architecture/engineering
