Marketing Analyst
Our Client has attracted a team of experienced professionals to ensure that their clients benefit from industry leading knowledge and insights. With emphasis on the core reinsurance pricing and risk management services they believe that the clients will benefit from this focus and the associated reduction in costs relative to other "full service" reinsurance business models.
Our client is looking for a Marketing Analyst to support the UK & Ireland Marketing team through effective project management and coordination of the key processes and projects including quotations and treaty implementation. This role is also responsible for the production of marketing materials, business plans and management information and for overall management of the client relationship management (CRM) system for the UK & Ireland business operation.
Manage projects and processes owned by UK&I Marketing. This will involve extensive liaison with the Pricing, Admin and Underwriting & Claims departments. Responsibilities will include the coordination and production of quote documents (including drafting of content), completing due diligence questionnaires, coordinating responses to client requests/queries and drafting and coordinating the agreement of standard treaty wordings.
Produce regular marketing and management information reports including; quote updates, monthly MI report, client visit plans, treaty dashboard and market and competitor analyses.
Manage the CRM system and provide business support to users. This will involve overseeing the quality of data, the design and production of bespoke reports/extracts, leading and implementing the development of new features, providing advice/support to other business users and managing the liaison with IT to ensure performance standards are met and to resolve technical issues.
Obtain and document sign off from relevant internal departments at appropriate stages in the treaty/addendum implementation.
Lead new business planning and monitoring processes.
Coordinate R&D initiatives (publications, seminars, surveys).
Lead the preparation of standard marketing materials such as pitch books, brochures, term sheets and website/intranet content
Chair the pricing/admin/marketing liaison meeting.
Minimum Qualifications
Industry Knowledge
- Good general understanding of long term insurance products and business practices.
Technical Expertise
- Basic understanding of accounting and actuarial principles
- Numerate with good numerical analysis skills
- Competent in use of Excel, Access and similar applications for financial analysis and production of reports
Other Desirable Experience and Skills
Experience
- Development of insurance products and/or product literature
- Exposure to insurance marketing or sales environments
- Use or development of financial or planning models
- Design of marketing materials
