This leading engineering consultancy organisation is currently looking to recruit a Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher to join their corporate graphics team in Euston, London.
As Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher your role will be to produce visual solutions to communicate the messages associated with the company's brand through consistent application of templates. Your role will be to produce high-quality bid documents, which will include reports forms, PowerPoint presentations and organisational charts. It will be your responsibility to make sure everything is consistent with the company's brand. You should also have the chance to get involved in other corporate projects as and when they arise. Key responsibilities will include:-
Preparation and production of bid documentation including, reports, forms, tables, PowerPoint presentations and organisational charts
Producing project specific graphics, drawings and illustrations required for inclusion in such material (print and electronic)
Maintaining of the brand through consistent application group wide templates
Maintaining and updating bid style guidelines (under the supervision of the Design Manager)
Ensuring that all materials, record keeping and filing of data conform with company and Design team standards
Keeping and maintaining the company photo library
Preparing files for repro and press
Occasional preparation and production of other marketing collateral, as specified and requested by the Design Manager
The successful applicant will be a qualified designer with a background in a similar in-house role or within a communications agency. You should have advanced Word and PowerPoint skills as well as a knowledge of Quark, InDesign, Creative suite and/or Acrobat. In addition you will be good at managing relationships with clients and have the ability to handle your own workload and will have a sharp eye for detail. You should be able to work effectively with other designers and marketing specialists and producing accurate and high quality work from instructions and templates. This role offers a salary of c.$22K
