Web Designer
The Company
A leading innovator in the telecommunications industry, this company is experiencing increased growth despite the current downturn. With a global presence, you can be assured that you are joining a forward thinking company with a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere who value their staff which is evidenced by the exceptional benefits they offer.

The Role
You will be working to provide professional and elegant solutions to all requirements for graphic design within the company. This will include aesthetic and structural design for their website, as well as the graphical design and production of printed and other physical material. The candidate will also work alongside our Documentation and Marketing Teams to help publish their website contributions and provide illustration for technical and non-technical literature, liaise with the Systems Team in maintaining the website engine, and work alongside other technical teams providing cutting-edge graphical and user interface design for our web interfaces and interactive video services.

The Person
You should be comfortable with working in a small and dynamic technology company, capable of working in small teams or independently on projects of varying scope and be able to help set your own objectives and be persistent in pursuing them.
A strong aesthetic sense for clean and expressive design is essential, as is an exceptional ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts through visual media. Experience in working within a technical environment and a familiarity with programming is a distinct advantage.
The candidate should be an expert in sculpting CSS and HTML to build top quality standards-compliant websites, and should be intimately familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (or equivalents). Experience of server-side web development or client-side Javascript is an advantage.
Whilst applicants should have at least two to three years of practical experience in web and computer-aided graphic design, talent is the main prerequisite, which should be illustrated in an online portfolio of prior work.
