Competition Lawyer, BBC Legal
West London, contract until 28 January 2011 - salary according to qualifications and experience

The Commercial & Regulatory Legal Department provides specialist advice to clients across the BBC on a wide range of matters including regulatory and competition law issues. We are looking for a lawyer specialising in UK and EC competition law to join the team.

You’ll be required to give specialist advice to clients throughout the BBC and its subsidiaries, on all aspects of UK and EC competition law and on other aspects of the BBC’s regulatory regime.

You should have a minimum of four years’ PQE, with extensive experience of UK and EC competition law and practice. Experience of the broadcasting industry and state aid law would be an added advantage. In addition, you’ll need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, be an outstanding communicator both orally and in writing and enjoy working as part of a team.
