Team Managers
We are recruiting for vacancies at South Mimms, Pottersbar/ Whittlesford, Cambridge/ Toddington, Luton/ Milton Common, Thame/ Chievely, Newbury.

In an increasingly fast-moving world, our roads are getting busier every day. Keeping the motorway network safe and easing congestion is a top priority for the Highways Agency. We're responsible for the 24/7 operation of a safe and reliable network and keeping travellers well informed.

As the first line manager for a team of Regional Control Centre Operators or Traffic Officers, you will minimise the impact of congestion associated with road network incidents and events, whilst making a real difference to road safety and reliability for all users. Monitoring performance and developing the capabilities of the individuals within your team, you will impact on a range of key performance measures regarding resource planning, vehicles and safety.

Conscientious, unflappable and highly professional; your ability to prioritise, make the best use of available resources, coach and develop your team will result from another customer facing people management role, ideally from another 24/7 environment.

This role will give you the opportunity to extend your remit and gain a variety of experience working with either Regional Control Centre or Traffic Officer teams. As we operate a 24/7, 365 day operation, you will also need a flexible attitude towards working shifts. As this is a "safety critical' role it is important that you live no more than one hours drive from your chosen location.

Interviews and Assessment Centres will take place at the following times and locations:

For more information on the prospects, the locations and to apply, please call the recruitment team between 8am and 8pm Monday-Friday on 0800 917 4441. Minicom 020 8605362.

Or visit www.highways.gov.uk/recruitment to download an application pack.

The Highways Agency is an equal opportunities employer. We value diversity and we positively welcome applications from all sections of the community, particularly from members of black and ethnic groups who are currently under-represented in these roles. We operate a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled people who meet the minimum criteria.
