A Large Retail Bank due to internal promotion are looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis Department.
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a high potential individual to manage and co-ordinate the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes across Consumer Banking. They will be responsible for the provision of timely, high quality management information of the key performance drivers of the business units expected performance.
The successful candidate will need to develop a strong understanding of the key drivers of the Consumer Banking businesses and how these translate into the financial performance of the business. Highly developed communication, analytical and presentation skills will be essential as will strong interpersonal and influencing skills. The nature of the role requires an ability to work under pressure and deliver on stretching deadlines along with the ability to work flexibly as required to meet priority deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Consumer Banking planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that all the divisional requirement and timescales are met. Provide guidance and support to the business unit finance teams as appropriate.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the Consumer Banking business units financials and performance drivers in order to critically review, analyse and challenge the information produced by the businesses.
- Produce plan, budget and forecast presentations and briefing for the Consumer Banking Senior Management.
- Develop a high performance finance team.
The candidate will need:
- A strong commercial focus highly attuned to evolving business needs and be able to rapidly build finance capabilities to deliver performance enhancing support to the Consumer Banking business.
- A proven track record in the design and timely delivery of management reporting, preferably working with multiple business units.
- Ability to distil and communicate key financials clearly within a business context to senior management.
- Proven relationship management and influencing skills to ensure effective working with business finance teams.
- Good working knowledge of Group accounting systems, reporting requirements and standards.
