| Commercial Legal Director |

Out client is a pan European provider of voice, data and managed services to the SMB, Corporate and Service Provider markets. They seek a Commercial Legal Director for 6 months Maternity Cover. Candidates must have substantial commercial legal experience in a high-tech or telecommunications environment together with demonstrable experience of operating in a highly commercial environment at the most senior levels with substantial post qualification legal experience.
Role Purpose:
- To manage a range of commercial transactions within the client's business divisions
- To manage HQ Transactional legal team
Key Accountabilities:
- To General Counsel for quality of legal transactional work. Ensures that the function it is seen as a business enabling department
- Provides strategic commercial legal advice to business divisions
- Leads development of company wide commercial legal programmes to support business objectives
- Manages the Legal teams to deliver high quality integrated service
Role Requirements:
- Recognised as a source of expert guidance in own function, as well as possessing full range of strategic commercial and leadership skills
- English or Continental qualified lawyers.

-Communications. Accustomed and competent to communicate at very senior levels
Relationships:
-Negotiating. Strong negotiation skills; Strong influencer, assertive, able to prioritise effectively
Complexity:
-Solution- oriented. Can do attitude. Practical commercial approach.
-Able to quickly assess business impact and understand risks
Business Knowledge and Skills:
-Substantial commercial legal experience in a high-tech or telecommunications environment
-Substantial legal management experience.
-Demonstrable experience of operating in a highly commercial environment at the most senior levels
-Substantial post qualification legal experience
