The area combines a number of key business areas; Global Merchant Services, RBSLynk, Hanco, Global Travel Money Service and Commercial Cards, working together to deliver a reliable, trustworthy and profitable business which has the client at its heart.
An opportunity has arisen for an eCommerce Proposition Development Manager to own and manage existing, and develop new, Global Merchant Services eCommerce customer propositions in specific market sectors.
Requirements
You will have an understanding of product development, pricing, marketing and aid the sales force in the delivery of the propositions offered.
A background in Financial Services or the Mobile Phone industry would be advantages.
The role in heavily focussed on Product Management for the online payments sector in particular for small to medium business enterprises dealing with high levels of transactions over a short period of time.
Responsibilities
You will be required to refine and validate customer propositions as assigned by the Proposition Development Managers. Your delivery will be achieved through commissioning and assessment of Insight activities, including market research, competitor analysis and data mining, alongside internal stakeholder input.
You will manage and oversee projects and programmes of varying sizes relating to the enhanced management of existing customer products and propositions as assigned by the Proposition Development Managers.
Additionally you will support Proposition Development Managers in all aspects of the product and service development process - including financial modelling, business case approval, project prioritisation and IT resource allocation.
Other responsibilities include (jointly with Proposition Development Managers) the delivery of business case income and cost saving commitments.
Contribution to an up-to-date and prioritised pipeline of potential enhancements to Global Merchant Services customer propositions. Input to be drawn from internal and external sources.
Driving the activity of the Insight, Proposition Delivery and Management and the Marketing communications teams.
The Individual
You will ideally hold a relevant Marketing Qualification and have experience in the Financial Services (in particular eCommerce or Card Acquiring) or Mobile Phone industries, with key skills in delivery of the Products and their development.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and networking skills with core strengths in analysis and attention to detail.
