Assessor - Passenger Transportation
About the Job
The ideal candidate will be required to co-ordinate training activities, and plan and deliver training on employer premises to exceptionally high standards. You will assess candidate portfolios and internally verify Passenger Carrying Vehicles programmes (taxi, community transport, private ambulance, tram, train, bus, and coach). You will need to have:-

Appropriate vocational experience and minimum qualification in Passenger Carrying Vehicles
Experience in the Passenger Carrying Vehicles sector
D32, D33/A1 Vocational Assessor and D34/V1 Internal Verifier qualifications would be advantageous
Have the ability to work with learners of all ages in various learning environments
Be flexible, innovative and possess excellent communication skills.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

To carry out those duties that are required within the role as it evolves within the development of the organisation
General administration or other duties as required within the Training Services Team
To undertake Continual Professional Development and maintain a current CPD file.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver and develop a high standard of training and underpinning knowledge programmes to groups and individuals
Assess learners’ competence, knowledge and understanding and internally verify the assessment process according to established guidelines
Implement and co-ordinate training plans in order to meet agreed deadlines
Liaise with other Skills UK Ltd staff and local employers regarding training initiatives
Develop and monitor resources for learners’ use
Supervise individuals and groups of learners
Provide initial advice and guidance including interviewing potential learners and offering APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning) guidance where relevant
Support learners through recording, tracking, documenting and discussing progress of individual programmes of study
Support learners through initial assessment, planning and identifying additional needs as appropriate
Promote Skills UK Ltd learning programmes amongst employers, generating new learners
Complete documentation/administration associated with the role, responsibilities and learner performance.
