Transportation Consultant
Our client requires a Transportation Consultant
Our Traffic Network Group is expanding, providing an opportunity for a Consultant to join the existing team. You will contribute within a multidisciplinary team who are expert in conducting operational research and providing consultancy regarding performance of road networks equipped with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
Activities will include analysing traffic flows and congestion, assessing ITS equipment trials, statistical analysis of network performance measures and developing computer decision support tools.
A degree in maths, physics or operational research and relevant experience are essential, ideally matched by a post-graduate qualification, good project management skills and a track record in providing analytical consultancy to external clients. Excellent technical and communication skills are essential along with the ability to deconstruct and analyse complex problems and construct logical conclusions. Not least, we're looking for an innovative approach to problem-solving and a positive approach to visiting client sites and network locations in the UK and abroad.
